Our clients needed to care for an elderly parent and decided to build her a home in their backyard. Believe it or not, the new cottage includes a bedroom, small bath and small but complete kitchen. Their parent can maintain independence yet be close enough if help is needed. The deck with trellis is an ideal spot to sit on a sunny day.
