WINANS CONSTRUCTION, INC. NAMED CALIFORNIA REMODELER OF THE YEAR
Oakland, CA, June 20, 2005 -- Winans Construction, Inc. was named California Remodeler of the Year at the 12th annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 9, 2005 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA. The awards, sponsored by Qualified Remodeler magazine and Stock Building Supply, were presented during the Southern Building Show.
Each year, one remodeler is selected as the Chrysalis Remodeler of the Year in their state by a panel of judges, including editors and writers of consumer publications such as Better Homes & Gardens, Woman's Day's Home Remodeling & Makeovers, Southern Living Magazine and Sunset Magazine.
"The purpose of the Remodeler of the Year award is to identify companies who are examples of the best in the industry," said Ken Kanline, director of the awards.
Criteria for Remodeler of the Year include: The company's relationships with their customers, suppliers, and trades; contributions to professionalism in the remodeling industry; and contributions to the community.

Winans Construction is a 27-year old firm specializing in major residential remodeling projects in the East Bay and surrounding areas.
